The short answer

A water main broke under Reinman Road near Old Stirling Road late last week. Warren Township Police posted road closures for the area on Friday and repairs ran through the weekend. At 7 a.m. Monday, water was still crossing the road at the intersection and the patched cut sat behind police cones. A second main break was reported on Sandlewood Drive on Friday evening. Separately, Round Top Road northbound is closed at Fox Hill Drive on Monday for utility work until about 5 p.m.

What the police alerts say

The record here is three alerts from Warren Township Police, published through Nixle. Midday Friday: "Reinman Rd. in the area of Old Stirling Rd. expect road closures due to ongoing work. Follow posted detours." Friday evening: "Water main break on Sandlewood Drive. Expect reduced service and traffic in the area. Repairs from main break on Reinman Rd still ongoing." Monday morning: "Round Top Rd northbound will be closed at Fox Hill Drive for utility work until approx. 5 pm." The Monday notice does not say whether the Round Top work is connected to the water main repairs.

The scene Monday morning

At 7 a.m. Monday the cut in the pavement was patched and coned off, with standing water inside the cones and a steady sheet of water running across the road toward the shoulder. Loose stone was scattered along the travel lane. The road was passable in both directions at that hour, but the Friday alert remains the operative guidance: expect closures in the area and follow posted detours.

What I could not verify

The police alerts do not name the utility making the repair, give an estimated completion date, or say how many homes saw reduced service. I could not confirm any of that from a public source Monday morning. Whether the Round Top Road utility work is related is also unconfirmed. This post will not guess. If you have specifics from the utility, corrections and details are welcome at john@nexthomepremier.com.
